Biographical History

Warangesda is an aboriginal mission founded by Rev. J.B. Gribble in 1880. The mission was situated near Darlington Point, N.S.W. From 1884-1897 the mission was administered by the non-sectarian Aborigines Protection Association with government funding through the Aborigines Protection Board of N.S.W. After 1897 the Board assumed complete control.
