Albert Jones (1839-1925) was a Mormon pioneer and missionary.
Albert Jones was born August 28, 1839 in England. He died in Provo, Utah on December 9, 1925. He joined the Church in August 1855 in England, crossed the Plains with the Martin Handcart company, and eventually settled in Provo. In 1862 he was called to help drive Church wagons across the Plains; from 1872-1886 he was the tithing clerk for the Utah Stake; from 1884-1886 he served as a missionary in Britain; in 1888-1889 served time in a federal prison having been convicted of unlawful cohabitation.
