Thomas J. Wise (1859-1937) was a British bibliographer and book collector whose Ashley Library resides in the British Museum. He was also a forger of first editions.

Wise was a British bibliographer and book collector. He also published a large number of books and pamphlets by English authors, some of which were later disclosed as forgeries. Dunn was a professor at Smith College, although at the time of this letter she was at the University of London.
