Willard Jay Guymon (1921-2001) was a Purple Heart receiver that served missions for the Latter-day Saint church.
Willard Jay Guymon was born 20 September 1921 in Blanding, San Juan, Utah to Anna Eleanor Jamison and Willard Morley Guymon. He served in the Marine Corps, was wounded in World War Two and received the Purple Heart. He also served an LDS mission to Louisiana and Texas. He was hired onto the Forest Service in Blanding, Utah straight out of his military service and worked there for 32 years. He married Alberta Minnie Williamson on 14 September 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had two children. Alberta and Willard served an LDS mission together to the Navajo Indians in Southeastern Utah. Willard died 5 October 2001 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Oren Frost Black was born in Colonia Pacheco, Mexico on 9 October 1909 to David Patten and Theda Kartchner Black. His family moved to the states when Mexico's Revolution began. He married Lucile Bailey 1 June 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Frost died 10 May 2003 in Blanding, San Juan, Utah.
