Biographical History

Samuel Say, Dissenting minister and friend of Isaac Watts, with whom he was educated at Thomas Rowe's London Academy. He ministered from 1707 to 1725 at Lowestoft, Suffolk; became co-pastor with Samuel Baxter at Ipswich in 1725; and accepted the call to Long Ditch, Westminster, in 1734. His Poems and Essays appeared in 1743.
