Biographical History

Edward Bloor was born on October 12, 1950 in Trenton, New Jersey. He received his B.A. at Fordham University in 1973 and was a teacher in the Florida public schools 1983-1986. Beginning in 1986, Bloor became a senior editor at Harcourt Brace School Publishers. He has published a number of books for young adults; his first book Tangerine (1997) won the American Library Association Top Ten Best Books for Young Adults (1998), Edgar Allan Poe Award nomination for Best Young Adult Novel (1998) and the American Booksellers Association Pick of the List (1997).
