Biography

Coolidge was born February 26, 1939 in Providence, Rhode Island; attended Brown University, 1956-58; drummer with Serpent Power, a San Francisco rock group; producer of Words (weekly hour of new poetry) at KPFA-FM in Berkeley, California, 1969-70; author of various books of poetry, including Flag flutter and U.S. Electric (1966), Clark Coolidge (1967), Space (1970), The so (1971), Suite V. (1973), The maintains (1974), and Polaroid (1975); co-editor of Joglars, 1964-66.
