Biographical History
NDSU society organized in 1927, the 28th chapter of the national organization. Membership is based on scholastic achievement, leadership abilities, and involvement in campus activities. Women were allowed to join in 1976. In 1979, Kathy Dean was elected president of the NDSU chapter, the first female officer in the 124 chapters. In 1929, they began the spring variety show called Bison Brevities which ceased in 1960, came back in 1977. Projects now supported include staffing the library during final exams and the Distinguished Educator Award.
