Biographical History
Fancher (1833-1934), educator, humanitarian, and historian of Mount Pleasant (Mich.) wrote the book, "Past and Present of Isabella County Michigan" (1911), a copy of which is in the Clarke. Webber wrote two books concerning the Flint and Pere Marquette Railway (1880 and 1890), copies of which are also in the Clarke. The company never owned a locomotive or laid track. It merely existed on paper.
