Biographical History

Lois Crozier Hogle was a pioneer in the San Francisco Bay Area environmental movement, co-founding the Committee for Green Foothills with Ruth Spangenberg in 1962. Between 1986 and 1992 she had a column in the Palo Alto Weekly about environmental and social issues. She was active in the YWCA, serving for a period as president in the Stanford YWCA. She traveled widely on educational, environmental, and peace tours.
