Latin American Congress on evangelization; held November 21-30, 1969 in Bogata, Colombia [English translation is "First Latin American Congress on Evangeliszation" and is commonly referred to by its acronym, CLADE]; one of an international series of meetings sponsored by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association; 830 delegates from Latin American countries and the United States participated in the 10-day Congress whose theme was "Action in Christ for a Continent in Crisis"; Congress personnel included Clyde Taylor (co-chairman), Carlos J. Lastra (co-chairman), Efrain Santiago (General Coordinator), Miguel Suazo (Assistant Coordinator) and C. Peter Wagner (Secretary of Publicity); Billy Graham and his Association, which promoted the idea for the Congress, provided personnel and funding.
