(Los Angeles), 1925; admitted to CA bar, 1911; clerk with Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway in LA, 1905-8; judge, LA City Police Court, 1913-19; private law practice in LA, 1919-31; judge, Superior Court of LA County, 1931-37; justice of the District Court of Appeal, 2nd appelate division of CA, 1937-49, and presiding justice beginning in 1949; in 1959 was appointed Assoc. Justice of the Supreme Court of CA; he died in 1968.
