Biographical History

Cecil John Doty graduated from Oklahoma A & M College in 1928 with a B.S. in Engineering, Architecture. He worked for Valberg and Drury and designed several buildings in Oklahoma in the 1930s. He then went to work for the National Park Service as an architect and designed numerous buildings in various parks, including the National Park Service Region III Headquarters Building in Sante Fe, N.M.

Founded December 1890 as Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical (A & M) College; officially became Oklahoma State University in 1957.
