Biographical History

Bernard M. Strean was born on December 16, 1910, in Big Cabin, Oklahoma. He received his commission as Ensign in the U.S. Navy in 1933, and advanced to the rank of vice admiral in 1965. He commanded Carrier Division 2 in the Atlantic Fleet from 1964 to 1965. Strean died on June 2, 2002, in McLean, Virginia.
