Biographical History

Harriet Hale Rix grew up in San Francisco, California. Her sister, Annie Rix Militz, helped found the religious group "Home of Truth" which was part of the New Thought movement. In the 1890s, Annie put her sister Harriet in charge of the "Home of Truth" group in San Francisco, where she led it successfully for several years. Harriet wrote several articles for her sister's magazine Master mind, as well as several books including: Christian mind healing (1916), The rich mentality (1916), and By this sign we conquer (1919).
