Biographical History

The World Methodist Conference, established in 1881, is sponsored by the World Methodist Council made up of numerous Methodist denominations. It comprises over 75 member organizations representing 132 countries. Joseph T. Taylor served on the World Methodist Council. He also taught at various universities including IUPUI where he also served in administrative positions. In May of 2008, a building on the IUPUI campus housing the University College and the Multicultural Center was renamed Joseph T. Taylor Hall.

This audio series was recorded ca. 1958 for radio station WBAA, Purdue University, and funded by a grant from the Education Television and Radio Center. It was produced by E.W. Richter, and moderated by Richter and sociology professor Louis Schneider. Joseph Taylor, Lester Branger, and others were interviewed for the programs.
