Biographical History

The Assistant University Librarian for Collections was renamed as the Associate University Librarian for Collections Services in the mid-1990's. In this configuration, the position oversaw the operations of the Special Collections Department, the Collections Management Services Department, Acquisitions Department, Slavic, East European and Asian Reading Room, and the Collection Development Group. In 2007, the Associate University Librarian for Collection Services, Caroline Long, retired and the Gelman Library undertook a two-year reorganization.
