Biographical History
Henson, a practicing attorney, was elected to the California State Assembly in 1962 to represent the Thirty-seventh Assembly District and served until 1966. He sponsored legislation which reformed the licensing system for contractors, reorganized the Ventura County court system, created Point Magu State Park, and provided for the establishment of a state college for Ventura County. He served on the Planning and Public Works, Water, Criminal Procedure, Public Health, Natural Resources, and Ways and Means Committees. In 1966, he was appointed a municipal court judge in Ventura County. He retired in 1986 and at the time of the interview was in the travel business with his wife.
