The parties involved in the disputes included the Anaconda Copper Corporation, the Kennecott Copper Corporation, the Phelps Dodge Corporation, and twenty-one zinc and lead mines in the Coeur D'Alene District of Idaho and the Mine, Mill and Smelter Workers International Union and the Building Trades Council of the American Federation of Labor. The major parties agreed on the essentials of a settlement prior to the issuance of the Board's reports.
