Biographical History

Born in Germany 1928, Dreyfus came to Melbourne in 1939. He was a basoonist in the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra from 1953-1964, but has lived independently as a composer since 1964. Has received several awards including the first creative arts fellowship at the A.N.U. 1967.
