Lorus Bishop Pratt (1855-1923) was an art missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Lorus Bishop Pratt was born November 27, 1855, in Tooele, Utah, to Orson and Adelia Ann Bishop Pratt. In 1877, he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Eastern United States. On November 27, 1879, he married Harriet West Elzina Wheeler, and they had eleven children. In 1890, Lorus was called to serve an art mission in Paris, where he received art training so that he could create murals for the temple. He later decorated the first four temples in Utah. He died December 30, 1923, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
