Biographical History
Beaufort County, South Carolina plantation owner. Elizabeth Heyward Trapier Jervey acquired Rose Hill Plantation (St. Bartholomew Parish), a rice plantation on the Combahee River, from her father Charles Heyward (1802-1866). Elizabeth Heyward first married James Heyward Trapier in 1865 and upon his death wed Theodore DeHon Jervey (1817-1892). A[llen] C[adwallader]. Izard was the brother of Mrs. Edward Barnwell Heyward, who was the sister-in-law of Elizabeth Jervey.
