Biographical History

Colin Bingham, born in Richmond, Queensland, had a long and distinguished career as a journalist and administrator in the newspaper world; he was leader-writer on the Sydney Morning Herald 1949-57, associate editor 1957-60 and editor 1961-65. He published several books of poetry and three books of essays. His autobiography, 'The Beckoning Horizon', was published in 1983.
