Biographical History

Miss Heck was the first president of the Woman's Missionary Union of North Carolina (1886-1915), and the first president of the Woman's Missionary Union [Southern Baptist Convention auxillary] (1895-99, 1906-15). She was one of the founders of the Carver School of Mission and Social Work, Louisville, Ky.; an author; and editor of Missionary Talk.
