Kraft, Erwin, 1884-

The Kulturkampf Association was an organization of anti-fascist Christians and Jews, dedicated to anti-Fascism, who informed the English public about the spiritual and religious propaganda that was going on in Nazi Germany. The group also appeared under the name of League for the Defence of Christianity.

The organization was partially financed by Erwin Kraft, a Jewish refugee from Austria, and supported by George Bell, Bishop of Chichester, among others. The translator Conrad Bonacina, Margrieta Beer (1871–1951), an active convert to Roman Catholicism, and the Catholic printers Samuel Walker of Hinckley, Leicestershire, supported the organization actively. Norman Angell and Dorothy Buxton were also associated with the publication.
