Biographical History

Charles Liessman was an attorney, farmer, organizer of the North Dakota Farmer's Educational and Cooperative Union in 1916, and Deputy Secretary of State.

Viola Liessman was a businesswoman, active in the women's suffrage movement, a member of the W.C.T.U., an organizer of the Bismarck-Mandan Garden Club, the Art Club, and the Women's Community Council.
