Labor organizer, feminist, and journalist.

Born March 11, 1950. Brought up in Yakima Valley of eastern Washington. Became involved in labor movement as employee at Univ. of Washington, where she was one of the founders of Staff Rights Organizing Committee (SROC). Also a member of Freedom Socialist Party, United Workers Organization, National Hispanic Feminist Conference and other Seattle, Wash. and national organizations. Has written on the Chicano movement and women's rights.
