Biographical History

Warren was President of the Massachusetts Provincial Congress; three weeks after this letter he was killed at Bunker Hill.

Warren was a Boston physician who in 1770 became involved with the Sons of Liberty who protested the British presence in Massachusetts. He was involved with the Committee of Correspondence and was responsible for sending Paul Revere and William Dawes on their famous ride. Warren was selected as President of the Massachusetts Provisional Congress on May 8, 1775. On June 17, 1775 Warren was killed at the Battle of Bunker Hill.
