Jacksonville, Illinois, attorney. Partner in the firm of Morrison, Worthington, and Reeve beginning in 1892. Prior to 1892 Worthington practiced law in Pittsfield, Illinois and in Baltimore, Maryland. Served as a member of the Illinois House of Representatives from Pike County (1883-1884). Appointed United States District Attorney for Southern Illinois (1901). Married Miriam Morrison, daughter of law partner, Isaac L. Morrison (1826-1901). Had one son, Isaac L. Morrison Worthington.
