Biographical History
Kubale (b.1921) entered a Citizens Military Training Camp in 1939 and had active service in the Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1945.
He landed in Normandy on D-Day, helped transport German POWs back to the States, and served as a C-47 navigator in Europe. After his discharge in 1945, he married Dorothy Pritzl, and they raised seven children. Kubale worked as a guard for the Wisconsin State Reformatory (now the Green Bay Correctional Institution), retiring around 1976, and he ran his own upholstery shop. He has lived in Milwaukee and currently resides in Middleton (Wisconsin).
