Mary Elizabeth Argo Warren was born Feb. 5, 1843 in Bourbon County, KY to William & Lucy Boswell Argo. They moved to Pleasant Hill, MO in 1844. William Argo passed away that fall. Lucy maintained the farm. About 1847 Lucy Argo was remarried to Charles Williams. Charles persuaded Lucy to sell what was left of her property that he hadn't squandered way so they could go West. On the morning of May 3, 1852 the wagon train left Pleasant Hill, MO. After many arduous days of hardship and adventure, they arrived at the mouth of the Big Sandy River on October 15, 1852. By December 1852, the family had moved on to their "Donation Claim" of land near Oregon City, OR and Mary lived there with the family until she married in 1863. On December 23, 1863 Mary was married to William Orlander Warren and they moved to Lebanon, OR. She and William moved several times during their married life. By 1906, Mary and her husband were living in Oroville, WA. William Warren passed away a few years later. After he passed away, Mary sold her property and moved to Chesaw, WA where she was living at the age of 90 in 1933. She and her husband had six children and by 1933 there were ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
