Biographical History
Curry County, New Mexico was established in 1909 and formed part of the 5th Judicial District of the United States Territorial Courts in New Mexico. In 1921 Curry County was transferred from the 5th to the 9th Judicial District. Upon statehood in 1912, the Territorial Courts became the New Mexico District Courts.
Roosevelt County, New Mexico was established in 1903 and formed part of the 5th Judicial District of the United States Territorial Courts in New Mexico. Upon statehood in 1912 the Territorial Courts became the New Mexico District Courts. In 1921 Roosevelt County was transferred from the 5th to the 9th Judicial District.
Quay County, New Mexico was established in 1903 and formed part of the 4th Judicial District of the United States Territorial Courts in New Mexico. In subsequent years Quay County was transferred from the 4th to the 6th Judicial District (1904), from the 6th to the 8th Judicial District (1912), from the 8th to the 9th Judicial District (1921), and from the 9th to the 10th Judicial District (1950). Upon statehood in 1912, the Territorial Courts became the New Mexico District Courts.
