From the description of Reminiscences of Edwin Seaver : oral history, 1976. (Columbia University In the City of New York). WorldCat record id: 309724780

Edwin Seaver was an American author and literary critic. Born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Philadelphia, he was educated at Harvard, and moved to New York after graduation, where he held a variety of jobs, often in publishing. Freelance reviews led to several full-time positions as a reviewer, and he edited a number of journals and anthologies. He lived for a time at the artist's colony in Woodstock, New York, even working as tutor there, and was later an editor for the Book-of-the-Month Club. Seaver was interviewed during the McCarthy hearings, but was never a member of the Communist Party, despite sharing some ideals with the movement. He wrote several novels, and a reminiscence of his days in publishing, So Far, So Good.

From the description of Edwin Seaver letter to Henry Sams, and reply, 1970. (Pennsylvania State University Libraries). WorldCat record id: 243693364
