Biographical History

Ward, Dreshman and Reinhardt, one of America's oldest fund raising firms, evolved out of a partnership established in 1919 between fund raising pioneer Charles Sumner Ward and Harvey J. Hill.

Ward created a New York City firm with Hill, Lyman L. Pierce, and Herbert Wells in 1920. The firm became Ward, Wells and Dreshman, in 1928, and Ward, Dreshman and Reinhardt in 1945. The firm moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1969. By 1980, Ward, Dreshman and Reinhardt had raised over $3 billion in over 6,000 campaigns. It has provided advice and assistance on raising money to nonprofit organizations nationwide.
