Biographical History
Robert B. Franklin was born in 1911 and graduated from the United States Military Academy (USMA). His major commands included staff assignments with the 14th Field Artillery Brigade (1942); 974th Field Artillery Battalion commander (1943-1944); International Military Tribunal, Nuremberg (1946); officer in charge (OIC), Weapons Employment Course, Sandia Base, New Mexico (1953-1954); and staff officer in 74th Infantry Division Artillery (1956-1957). He retired from the military in 1963.
Robert Beall Franklin was a career Army officer who graduated from the United States Military Academy (USMA), West Point, New York, in 1933. His branch was field artillery and later air defense artillery.
