Chief Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court; Cameron worked in private practice, as Yuma County Superior Court Judge, on the state Court of Appeals, then as a Supreme Court judge beginning in 1971. He served as chief justice from 1975 to 1980. During that time he was chairman of the Conference of Chief Justices, a national organization comprised of Chief Justices and state court administrators concerned with court financing, the role of jurors and other judicial issues. Conference of Chief Justices, the American Bar Association, establishment of the University of Virginia LLM program, and his views on judicial matters. Also present are correspondence and petitions relating to the Republican Party and his elections in 1968 and 1970. There are two logbooks (not clearly identified) of Superior Court cases from 1957 to 1968. Audio tapes of the 1979 Conference of Chief Justices, held in Phoenix, contain talks by Chief Justice Warren Burger and others. Materials are present from the 1980-1981 American Bar Association's Commission to Study the Question of Judicial Membership in Clubs that Invidiously Discriminate.
