Arthur Bosmans conceived this work after examining some musical fragments, letters and annotations of Antoon Bosmans van Binderveld, 1776-1853, when touring in Europe. Bosmans van Binderveld was an amateur musician living in Flanders.--Cf. Fleisher Collection.
