Biographical History
Harry Lashkowitz was born in the Ukraine in 1889, immigrating to the U.S.A. with his parents in 1896. The family moved to Fargo, N.D. in 1905. After completing law school in New York in 1912, Harry returned to Fargo to establish a law practice. He married Etta Levitz in 1917. She was born at Devils Lake, N.D. Harry was active in politics, the Democratic Party, B'nai B'rith, and other civic organizations. He died at Fargo in 1963 and Etta in 1971. They had four children, Herschel, Jane, Lorraine, and Shelley.
Harry Lashkowitz was born in 1889 in Kementz-Podolsk, Ukraine and came to New York City with his parents in 1896. The family moved to Fargo in 1905. After graduating from City College of New York, Harry returned to Fargo and practiced law. He was active in Jewish concerns and the Democratic Party. He died in 1963.
