Biographical History

Troup Miller (b. Feb. 10, 1879, Perry, Ga.-d. Jan. 26, 1957), U.S. Army officer, graduated from West Point in 1902 and served two tours in the Philippines, first as Aide-de-camp from 1905 to 1907, and later with the 7th Cavalry from 1911 to 1914. He also served as professor of military science and tactics before seeing action in two major offensives with the American Expeditionary Forces during 1918 and 1919. He later served as an instructor at the General Service Schools, the Command and General Staff School, and the Army War College. He was inspector general at Eastern Defense Command during the World War II years, retiring in December 1945.
