Biographical History

Mary Beatrice Crowle (1874-1972). Married Captain Joseph Napton Crowle R.N. of Ponsmaine, Cornwall. She was a lecturer, broadcaster, suffragette, Poor Law Guardian, one of the first patrol women with Lady Astor, organiser of Anzac Day at Bath, Somerset, etc. A daughter, Eileen "Pigeon" Crowle, and a son Thomas Bedford Finucane Crowle.
