Biographical History

The 114th Regiment was part of the Third Militia Division commanded by Major General Thomas Haywood; it served with Stonewall Jackson's corps in 1861 in West Virginia; it was disbanded in April 1862. Captain William Wolford, a native of Hampshire County, commanded Company F from July 1861 to April 1862.
