There daughter, Harriet, attended the Maltby School for Girls in Brooklyn, New York, 1890-1891. Her son Fredrick became a Colonel in WWII and after the battle of Okinawa was the Acting Commander for the district that included Jamami, in the Kerama Islands, a village devasted by the battle. He became friends with many of the villagers and returned to visit in 1950.
