Biographical History

Daniel Brenner was born in New York City and received a Bachelor's degree in architecture from Columbia University, 1939, and a M.S. in architecture from Illinois Institute of Technology, 1949. He first practiced architecture in the office of Alfred Easton Poor, in New York City, and subsequently joined the office of Mies van der Rohe in Chicago. He established a partnership in Chicago with Dorothy Turck (1958-1961), then was a founding partner of Brenner, Danforth and Rockwell (est. 1961). He also taught graduate classes at IIT.
