Rabbi and civic leader, of Baltimore, Md.
William Rosenau was born in Germany and emigrated to the U.S. in 1876. He attended the University of Cincinnati and Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati. His first pulpit was Temple Israel in Omaha, Neb. Rosenau then moved to Baltimore, Md., and was the rabbi for Oheb Shalom Congregation from 1892 until 1940.
