Biographical History

Missionary linguist; born October 20, 1924; educated at Wheaton College (B.A. in Bible, 1949; M.A. in Theology, 1952) and the University of Chicago (M.A. in Linguistics, 1978); worked among the Ixil Indians of Guatemala with Wycliffe Bible Translators, 1952- ; married Helen Belcher, 1945; had eight children.
