Biographical History

Graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Divinity School. Minister of the Unitarian Church of Buffalo from 1836-1866; president of Antioch College from 1866-1872. Returned to his Buffalo ministry in 1872.

Graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Divinity School. Minister of the Unitarian Church of Buffalo from 1836-1866; president of Antioch College from 1866-1872. Returned to his Buffalo ministry in 1872. Frederic Huidekoper, son of Harm Jan Huidekoper, helped organize Meadville Theological School. He headed the New Testament department there from 1844 to 1849, was professor of church history from 1845 to 1877, and also served as librarian and treasurer for many years.
