State Representative Joyce Beatty served Columbus' 27th House District for four terms from 1999-2008. In 2006 she became the first woman to lead Democrats as the House Minority Leader. She is also the founder and president of African-American Businesswomen & CEOs (ABC), a Columbus-area professional networking organization.

State Representative Tom Brinkman served the 34th House District for four terms from 2007-2008. He chaired the Commerce and Labor committee and served on the Criminal Justice, Ways and Means, and Local and Municipal Government and Urban Revitalization committees.

State Representative Larry Flowers served the 19th House District for four terms of the 124th-127th General Assembly from 2001-2008. He served the Finance and Appropriations, Rules and Reference, State Government and Elections, and Health committees and the Transportation and Justice subcommittee.

State Representative John Boccieri, a resident of New Middletown, served the 61st House District for three terms from 2001-2006. He served on the Financial Institutions, Real Estate & Securities; Insurance; and Juvenile & Family Law committees. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio, served as legislative aide for State Representatives Richard Cordray and Greg Didonato, and served in the U.S. Air Force in Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.

A graduate of Vanderbilt University and Case Western Reserve Law School, Representative Womer Benjamin worked as an estate planning and probate attorney before entering public service. She served eight years in the State House behalf of her Portage County District. During her tenure, she served on the Ohio House Finance and Appropriations Committee, and chaired the House Criminal Justice Committee for four years. Representative Womer Benjamin also worked towards better regulation of the life insurance industry.

State Representative Reinhard served the 82nd House District for four terms in the 124th-127th General Assembly from 2001-2008. He chaired the Homeland Security and Veterans Affairs committee and served the Agriculture and Natural Resources, Education, Economic Development and Environment, and Infrastructure committees.

State Representative Kenny Yuko served the 7th House District for two terms in the 126th-127th General Assemblies from 2005-2008. He served on the Commerce and Labor, Criminal Justice, Health, and Local and Municipal Government and Urban Revitalization committees.

State Representative Scott Oelslager served the 51st House District, which includes portions of Stark County for three terms in the 125th-127th General Assemblies from 2003-1007. He spent 17 years as a state senator, representing most of Stark County, worked as an aide to Congressman Ralph Regula and was the director of public relations for Malone College.

State Representative Jon Peterson represented the 2nd House District for five terms in the 123rd-127th General Assembly, one appointed and four elected, from 1999-2008. He was Vice Chair of Finance and Appropriations committee and Primary and Secondary Education Subcommittee and a member of Criminal Justice, Education, and Healthcare Access and Affordability committees. Before his term in the Ohio House of Representatives Peterson served as Delaware County Auditor, Franklin County Finance Director, and on the budget staff of former Governor James A. Rhodes.

State Representative Larry Wolpert served the 23rd House District for three terms in the 125th-127th General Assembly from 2003-2008. He chaired the Local and Municipal government and Urban Revitalization committee and served the Healthcare Access and Affordability, Ways and Means, and Economic Development and Environment committees.

State Representative Jim Carmichael served the 3rd House District, which includes Wayne County, for four terms in the 124th-127th General Assemblies from 2001-2008. He served as Assistant Majority Floor Leader of the Ohio House. Representative Carmichael worked for Dominion East Ohio Gas Company, served as the Mayor of Shreve from 1971 to 1979, was a member of the Wayne County Board of Elections from 1980 to 1999, serving as chairman for the last 10 of those years and chairs of the Wayne County Republican Party.

State Representative Michelle Schneider served 35th House District, including portions of Warren and Hamilton Counties, for four terms in the 123rd-127th General Assemblies from 2001-2008. Representative Schneider served as the Majority Whip for the Republican Caucus. She introduced seven bills to improve Ohio's five pension systems and was a leader in the health care arena through her efforts to pursue passage of the Diabetes Cost Reduction Act. Representative Schneider operates Hillebrand Home Health, a company providing in-home nursing care, meal delivery and emergency lifeline services. She also served on Madeira City Council and was mayor of Madeira from 1997 to 1999.

State Representative Jim McGregor served the 20th House District for four terms in the 124th-127th General Assemblies from 2001-2008. He chaired the Alternative Energy committee and served on the Agriculture and Natural Resources, Local and Municipal Government and Urban Revitalization, and Economic Development and Environment committees.

State Representative Jon Husted served the 37th House District for four terms from 2001-2008. He was elected Speaker of the Ohio House and chaired the House Rules and Reference Committee and of the Joint Legislative Ethics Committee. Husted led the legislative effort to reform the tax code championed efforts to improve education by expanding school choice options for Ohio children and families. He also worked for the Montgomery County Commissioners and as Vice-President of Business and Economic Development at the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce.

State Representative Catherine Barrett served the 32nd House District, including portions of Hamilton County for four terms from 1999-2006. Representative Barrett served on the Education, Health (Children 's Health & Family Services Subcommittee), and Insurance committees.

State Representative John Schlichter served the 85th House District for three terms of the 125th-127th General Assembly from 2003-2008. He chaired the Primary and Secondary Education subcommittee and Agriculture and Natural Resources, Education, and Finance and Appropriations committees.

State Representative John White served the 38th House District for four terms in the 124th-127th General Assembly from 2001-2008. He chaired the Health committee and served the Criminal Justice, Juvenile and Family Law, Insfrastructure, Homeland Security, and Veterans Affairs committees.

State Representative Arlene Setzer served the 36th House District for four terms of the 124th-127th General Assemblies from 2001-2008. She chaired the Education committee and served on the Rules and Reference, State Government and Elections, and Local and Municipal Government and Urban Revitalization committees.
