Biographical History

Reuben A. Scott, a Confederate soldier (private, Company B, 10th Regiment, Virginia Infantry), was wounded at Chancellorsville and taken prisoner at Port Republic, Va. After the war he settled at Port Republic, becoming a successful farmer. His wife, Mollie, was well educated for her day.
