Wrightsville and York Railroad Company; also called York and Wrightsville Railroad Company; created by a Pennsylvania act approved 1835; united with Wrightsville and Gettysburg Railroad, which had incorporated in 1836, and approved in 1837 as Wrightsville, York, and Gettysburg Railroad Company; railroad completed between Wrightsville and York in Apr. 1840; stock and most of mortgage debts were owned by Baltimore and Susquehanna Railroad Company, so operated as part of that road and afterwards of the Northern Central Railway until 1870, when sold to Pennsylvania Railroad.
