Biographical History
Presbyterian missionary to Hawaii. Born in Killington, Connecticut, studied at the Auburn Theological Seminary, N.Y., and ordained in 1833. Sent to Patagonia as a missionary from 1833-34. Married Fidelia Church (1810-1872) upon his return to the United States in 1834. Went to Hawaii in 1835 where he lived and worked the rest of his life.
